On May 22, the highly anticipated “2026 Second Unmanned Forklift Application Scenario Competition Finals and Embodied Wheeled Humanoid Robot Skills Showcase” was successfully held and concluded in Qiantang District, Hangzhou. The event was jointly organized by the Qiantang District Development and Reform Bureau of Hangzhou, the Hangzhou Eastern Bay New City Development and Construction Command, the Xinwan Subdistrict Office of the Qiantang District People’s Government of Hangzhou, the Mobile Robot Industry Alliance, and the Humanoid Robot Scenario Application Alliance. With its broad scope and far-reaching influence, the event attracted numerous companies with practical needs, industry experts, and leading manufacturers. The combined total of on-site spectators and online viewers reached nearly 10,000, creating a vibrant atmosphere and intense competitive spirit within the venue.

Under the theme “Human-Machine Collaboration, Leading the Future with Intelligence,” this year’s competition built upon the traditional strengths of unmanned forklift events while achieving a breakthrough by introducing embodied wheeled humanoid robots to participate in material handling and sorting challenges for the first time. The competition featured practical tasks such as autonomous navigation and target recognition to evaluate operational efficiency in real industrial scenarios. It aimed to collaborate with the industry to push technological boundaries, explore the potential of human-machine collaboration, and empower the real economy through smart manufacturing.

This competition brought together eight industry-leading companies, including Shanghai Noli, Hangcha Intelligent, Today International, JingSong Intelligent, and Ajiwei, who engaged in fierce competition across three real-world application categories.

Each participating team fielded their flagship unmanned forklifts and core technical teams. Prior to the competition, each team conducted comprehensive fine-tuning and performance optimization of their equipment—from calibrating perception modules such as LiDAR, vision sensors, and inertial navigation systems, to repeatedly fine-tuning SLAM mapping and navigation, path planning algorithms, and motion control parameters, and finally to meticulously inspecting every component of the powertrain, including drive motors and energy recovery systems—all to ensure that every unmanned forklift was in peak condition to meet the challenges of the real-world competition.

Three major regions

(“High-Precision Stacking and Transport by Autonomous Forklifts”): Autonomous forklifts complete cargo transport operations along predetermined routes, precisely locating goods and flexibly avoiding obstacles along the way. Competition results are evaluated based on a comprehensive assessment of operational speed, positioning accuracy, and operational stability.

(“Flexible Handling and Obstacle Avoidance for Unmanned Forklifts”): The venue features various obstacles. Unmanned forklifts must use their navigation and obstacle-avoidance systems to plan the optimal path and complete cargo transport, with a focus on assessing their adaptability and operational efficiency in complex environments.

(“Outdoor Loading Dock Loading, Unloading, and Stacking Competition Zone”): This zone focuses on the precision of unmanned forklifts during outdoor loading dock operations, including loading, unloading, and stacking.

Shanghai Noli delivered a standout performance at this competition, entering the fray with two of its flagship products—the PT15 pallet transport AGV and the PS15-MT pallet stacking AGV—and competing fiercely in two categories. After a full day of intense competition, the company secured one gold and one silver medal thanks to the outstanding performance of its products and its consistent performance on the field.

First, in the morning’s Competition Zone 1 event, “High-Precision Stacking and Transport with Unmanned Forklifts,” the team secured first place overall and won the Gold Award for High-Precision Stacking and Transport. Immediately following that, in the afternoon’s Competition Zone 2 event, “Flexible Handling and Obstacle Avoidance with Unmanned Forklifts,” the team placed second overall and won the Silver Award for Flexible Handling and Obstacle Avoidance. Ultimately, based on the results from all three competition tracks, the team secured the Gold Award for Overall Performance with the highest combined score, claiming the overall championship title for this year’s event!

“Using competitions to drive research and application,” this event serves not only as a “litmus test” for companies to demonstrate their technical capabilities but also as an “accelerator” for industry transformation. At this competition, Shanghai Noli earned unanimous praise from judges and audiences alike for its impressive performance—marked by precise positioning, smooth operation, high efficiency, and safety and reliability—and garnered significant attention and favor for the Noli brand from numerous enterprise users. We will use this competition as an opportunity to join hands with everyone, continuously push the boundaries of autonomous forklift technology, and jointly write a new chapter in how this technology empowers the real economy, injecting fresh momentum from Noli into the development of the global smart logistics ecosystem!
